By ensuring that orphans, girls, working children, and displaced youth have the opportunity to learn, EFASOM is not only changing individual lives but also shaping a brighter future for Somalia.
The Journey to Access Education:
Abdirahman’s Journey to Education: Abdirahman, a 13-year-old orphan from a rural community, faced immense hardships from an early age. His father was tragically killed by armed robbers when he was just six years old, leaving his mother to raise him alone. The family survived through small-scale farming and goat herding, but with limited resources, Abdirahman never had the opportunity to attend school. Through the support of EFASOM and its collaboration with Karan Orphan Boys Center, Abdirahman was enrolled in an Orphan Boys Boarding School, where he now receives free education, housing, and care. This opportunity has not only provided him with access to learning but also given him hope for a brighter future, empowering him to break the cycle of poverty and build a better life.
